PU CMa: A New SU UMa Star
As reported by R. Stubbings on April 1, the possible SU UMa-type dwarf
nova PU CMa experienced an outburst (12.0mag) (vsnet-campaign-dn
2226). The fading from the outburst was reported on April 3 (vsnet-campaign-dn
2240, 2252).
The next outburst was faded on May 13, and after that, it again experienced
an outburst of 12.0mag on May 24, as reported by R. Stubbiings. The outburst
interval was quite short (vsnet-campaign-dn
2454). The object gradually faded from the possible superoutburst (vsnet-campaign-dn
2461, 2463,
2472).
According to astro-ph/0209172 (Thorstensen and Fenton), PU CMa, together
with the new findings with the VSNET Collaboration team, has been confirmed
to be an SU UMa-type dwarf nova with a short orbital period (vsnet-campaign-dn
2830).
