SN 2001dp : Bright type Ia supernova reaching 14th mag
The members of the CROSS program have discovered the quite
bright supernova (mag 14.5) on August 12. Y. Sano confirmed this SN
(vsnet-campaign-sn 215).
K. Ayani performed spectroscopy and reported it resembles the
spectrum of tyle Ia one month after the peak
(vsnet-campaign-sn 216).
The position is about 35" west and 80" north of the nucleus of the
barred-spiral galaxy NGC 3953. NGC 3953 is nearby galaxy, the expected
maximum of the typical SN Ia is mag 12.5
(vsnet-campaign-sn 219).
