SN 2001ck

IAUC 7641 informed the discovery of a new SN 2001ck. The host galaxy (UGC 9425) is a northern part of the colliding pair galaxies (= Arp 241). SN located fairly near to the northern nucleus. The recession velocity of this pair is about 10000 km/s, from which the expected maximum of typical SN Ia is about 17.3. The reported magnitudes (June 3.3 UT, 172:C; 4.3, 168:C) suggested that it can be somewhat overluminous one (vsnet-campaign-sn 206).
