IW And

A M. Reszelski's observation showed the object was at bright (14.5mag) state on March 13 (vsnet-campaign-dn 591).

T. Kinnunen detected an outburst of IW And at 14.2mag on December 5 (vsnet-campaign-dn 1958). The outburst was confirmed by an observation of 14.3mag by M. Simonsen on December 7 (vsnet-campaign-dn 1960). The object apparently brightened further (by 0.4 mag) on Dec. 7. The brightness apparently attained its brightest record. Time-series photometry on both nights show only slow modulations (vsnet-campaign-dn 1963). The object gradually brightened and the maximum was on December 7 (vsnet-campaign-dn 1980). The object faded by ~2mag as seen in observations by the Kyoto team on December 18 (vsnet-campaign-dn 1990). The fading continued until December 21 when M. Simonsen reported a rebrightening to 14.4mag (vsnet-campaign-dn 1993, 1994).
