DI UMa : Returned to the state of "supershort supercycle"

M. Reszelski reported an outburst (15.7: mag) of DI UMa on February 18. The outburst was probably a superoutburst (vsnet-campaign-dn 524). The outburst observations by M. Reszelski in 2001 indicate that detectable outbursts of DI UMa comes every 24-31 days. If the detected outbursts are superoutbursts, this observed interval is pretty close to the 22-d value (vsnet-alert 374). The system may have returned to the state originally qualified DI UMa as the "most extremely RZ LMi-like object", the extreme end of ER UMa stars (vsnet-campaign 858). G. Poyner reported a new outburst at 15.0 mag on April 20 (vsnet-campaign-dn 685). The light curve on April 22 taken by the Kyoto team showed no clear superhumps but some modulations with an amplitude of 0.15mag (vsnet-campaign-dn 690). The outburst finished in the end of April, and it experienced a re-brightening to 15.6mag on May 12, which rapidly faded without clear periodic modulation (vsnet-campaign-dn 769, 770). The next outburst of 15.5mag was reported by M. Reszelski on May 19 (vsnet-campaign-dn 799). The object returned to quiescence around May 26 (vsnet-campaign-dn 830). On October 23, T. Kinnunen reported another outburst reaching 15.4mag. (vsnet-campaign-dn 1776).
