Possible ALEXIS transient

(vsnet-alert 701)

We have detected a transient in the 1A telescope (130 Angstroms) in the past 12 hours. The exposure time is only 99 seconds, but I am sending this notice out as

1) there is no evidence of the "source" turning off and, more importantly,

2) due to operational limitations, we turned off Telescope Pair 1 this morning, so we will not be getting any more data on this potential source.

The location, precessed to J2000 time, is:

RA = 01h 35m 40.88s
Dec = -25.325 degrees

Again, please note the extremely limited exposure time.

Any followup observations would be appreciated. Thanks.

	Sandy
