Possible ALEXIS transient on 1996 Nov. 30

(vsnet-alert 598)

ALEXIS has detected a potential transient in Telescope 3B (186 Angstroms,66 eV) at:

          RA=  04 00 32
          DEC= +49 00 09
          (Epoch 2000)

          Error circle radius = 0.5 degrees (~90% confidence)

There was no evidence of the object in the co-aligned telescope 3A (72 eV). The source became active at 0h UT Nov 30, and was still active at 14h UT, on Nov. 30.

Follow up observations are encouraged
